Extended oil pump pick-up by Trevor Bos
Since my oil pump screen was crushed when it was originally installed, I fabricated an extended pickup using the bottom of the old screen and some 2" aluminum bar stock.
		It would have been better looking if I'd used 2¼" or larger stock but the local welding shop only had 2" on hand.
	I also picked up a 1/8" NPT hydraulic pipe nipple from the local hydraulic supply. It was 3/16" ID so I opened it up to the 1/4" to match the original plate opening
	From there the plate was tapped and the nipple was shortened and welded in place. I'll be using Loctite to retain the new pickup and safety wiring it to the old mounting bolts just to be extra safe. This extended the pickup by just under 1¼".
